Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, deems necessary to adopt the law on support of the chemical industry.
Within the scope of the working visit to the town of Horlivka in Donetsk region, Volodymyr Lytvyn commented upon the prospects of "Concern "Styrol" open joint-stock company and stressed the necessity of supplying the enterprise with the gas at a reduced price to support its competitive ability.
V.Lytvyn also deems important to secure target markets for the produce of "Styrol" and believes that national agro-industry can become one of the markets.
V.Lytvyn reminded of the fact that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had already adopted the Law on support of the chemical industry drafted by Mykola Yankovsky, a recognized expert in this field. However, the Parliament did not manage to override the veto imposed by the President on this law.
At present, the Parliament is to scrutinize a specified version of the Law.
